I've actually did a fan fic like this before, it was just my first fic and I didn't know writer's block could go away. So I'm ready to redo my thinking and bring it back! Summary: The plot of Freaky Friday meets the Treasure Planet characters. Amelia and Jim are going to have to get along if they want to get their bodies back! The ground suddenly vanished from below him. With a loud whoop of excitement, Jim shifted his feet position on his solar surfer and let down his solar sail. The pull and sinking of his stomach thrilled the young man as he fell down onto the earth. Seconds before the he collided violently with the ground, Jim pulled out his sail. The sun flashed into the sail and propelled him foward, an inch above the ground zipping past the teen. The Benbow Inn suddenly came into Jim's sight. He narrowed his eyes in determination and bent his knees a little to make his air craft go faster. The red sail flittered and sparkled next to him. He was late and he knew it! The boy suddenly put down his sail and turned his solar surfer sharply, making it skid to a stop in the dirt runway next to the Inn. The board flipped into the air and Jim caught it smoothly, already running towards the building. He sprinted up the many stairs to the front door, passing by freshly planted flowers his mom had there. Jim stopped at the big wooden double doors. He put his solar surfer against the side of the Inn and tried to smooth his wind blown hair down as best as he could. Maybe they wouldn't notice. With a long sigh, Jim opened one of the doors and quietly slipped into the Inn's eating quarters. He brushed a patch of dirt off his shirt and looked up when he felt a million stares upon him. Everyone there was looking over their shoulders at him. But the hardest look he got from the whole crowd was from Amelia, who was glaring at him from where she was recieving a medal from an officer on a small stage on the opposite side of the room. Jim winced and quickly made himself to the table where his mother, Sarah, B.E.N., Delbert, and other friends of Amelia's sat. He sat down in the only empty seat in the Inn and didn't dare look at anyone. "You missed a lot, Jimmy!" B.E.N. whispered loudly to Jim. "Where were you? And where is your suit? You look like some peasant with those solar surfer clothes on in here! Is this another one of your 'nonconformist' acts again?" "Quiet, B.E.N.!" Jim hissed back. "I lost track of time." "By a whole hour!" B.E.N. said with a laugh. Clueless as to the mood Jim and the rest of the people/aliens around the table was in...like always. "I know," Jim muttered. "Don't remind me." I think I'll stop typing here. Its a crummy starter, but it has some value. The sparks get to fly in my next update! Tell me how you like it so far!

Thanks! I just typed it all up here, so I don't know if there are any spelling mistakes or not. I hope not. I'm such a bad speller! I'm just going to update whenever I feel like it, which is nice for me because I'm curently typing two other fics on other sites at the time. Its nice to have a fic to just fall back on and write in whenever.

UPDATE! I'm bored and in the mood to type even though I should be working on another fan fic. Shh! Don't tell my Pendragon friends and they won't know! lol. The busy atmosphere to the Benbow Inn was finally dwindling down to an easy-going pace. Sarah Hawkins bit her lower lip as she glanced back and forth across the table she was seated at for late dinner. At one end, her son was barely eating his green steak. He picked at it as if it was vegitables or something. The other end held Amelia, cutting her steak into delicately small pieces. Both kept their eyes glued to their untouched food. "I'm very happy for you, Amelia," Sarah finally said to the cat alien beside her. She managed a sweet smile before saying, "So when do you leave for Crescentia Spaceport?" "I need to be there by late tomorrow afternoon," Amelia answered, trying to keep the coldness out of her voice. "You should come and see the parade, Sarah." "I would love to," Sarah answered. "Maybe B.E.N. could run the Inn for a few hours. I'll bring Jim along! How does that sound, Jim?" "Great," Jim murmered, barely audible to the two at the table. "Mumbling will get you nowhere, Mr. Hawkins," Amelia told him firmly. They glanced up at each other with cold stares then returned to their own version of picking at their food. Jim's meat was running out of surface area for fork holes while Amelia's tiny pieces quickly got to be too small to cut. "So..." Sarah said with a weak smile, "Jim, you have midterms tomorrow, right?" "Yeah," Jim answered. "If I fail, it wasn't me not paying attention again, though." "Of course it isn't," Amelia said sarcastically. "This planet's school system is crummy," Jim told her. "You wouldn't know that because you were sent to the best of schools." "Well, clearly it is important to you," Amelia said with a nod. "You spent an extra hour at it today for some reason. Tell me, Mr. Hawkins, was it detention again?" "Hey!" Jim shouted, jumping to his feet. The chair fell to the floor behind him. "I have a perfectly good reason for my detention today! And I'm flipping sorry I wasn't at your thing today, but you can't seem to accept that!" "I can't because appologies don't work with me," Amelia said calmly, but it was clear she was using all her might to keep her anger down. You could see it in her narrowed cat eyes. "So what to you need?!" Amelia slowly pushed her chair away and stood up straight and tall. She clapsed her gloved hands behind her back and gave the boy an annoyed look, her pointy ears flatening slightly. "I promised you a scolarship to the Intersteller Academy, Mr. Hawkins," she said. "But right now I'm not seeing the young man I saw when he saved my crew and I from that explosion on Treasure Planet. For the past few weeks I've seen you retrogress back into that immature boy that first came aboard my ship. You leave for the Academy in a few days. If I don't see you change those few days, I'm will not allow you to set one foot in that building. You hear me, Mr. Hawkins?" "Oh, I hear you loud and clear!" Jim retorted. "I miss an hour of your medal givaway and you suddenly don't want to live up to your word. Just so you know, that was my first detention in weeks! You're not being fair!" "That's it!" Amelia shouted, her emotions pooring out all at once for the first time in months. "I'll give your character one more try, Jim! But you only get one chance. If you fail those midterms tomorrow, you won't ever see Intersteller Academy. Good luck. I say that because you desperately need it, most likely for not paying attention in class." "School isn't a walk through the park!" Jim shouted back. "But if that's what you want, then fine!" "Good!" Amelia spat back. With that said, or rather shouted, the two parted. Amelia roughly shoved her coat on and stormed out the door to wait for Delbert to leave. Jim made his way to the steaming kitchen, looking extremely ticked off and also a hint worried. There was no way he was going to pass midterms!

Ooh, I'm enjoying this. Tension between characters is always fun. I can actually hear the characters speaking the dialog you've given them. Well done! Can't wait to see the next chapter!

Update! I have a new OC in this update. I'm going to put her profile up somewhere else soon. Sorry if this is too long for some. I just like writing! Keira looked over her shoulder as Jim barged into the kitchen. She gave him a friendly smile until she saw the deep frown on his face. “You okay?” she asked him while returning to her job as dish washer with Morph. The bubbly pink thing was having a much greater time at the job than the Coral alien was. “Dandy,” Jim muttered sarcastically. He grabbed himself a purp out of a barrel and sat on the counter next to the sink. As he ate, he stared at the other wall with a scowl on his face. “Sure,” Keira said with a disbelieving shrug. She smiled as Morph ate some bubbles in the sink and spat them into Jim’s face. The boy swiped the flying glob away, trying not to smile. Morph had a way of making any situation seem light. “What do you think you’ll get on those midterms tomorrow?” Jim asked his alien friend. The two were in the same grade, but only had one class together. The two hadn’t really known each other till Sarah rebuilt her Inn and had to hire more helpers. Keira was now bussing tables and washing dishes way into the night for extra money. The two talked a lot once the alien girl had been hired. “They seem hard,” Keira said with a sigh. “To be honest, our teachers stink! This year I was never motivated to do better. I used to be a straight A student. Now…I don’t care if I get a D. I’m not going to do well with the midterms.” “Tell that to Amelia,” Jim muttered. “That evil cat woman says that if I don’t pass these midterms she won’t let me go to the Interstellar Academy!” Keira looked at him with shock. “No way! Is this because you skipped class that one time and had Sunday detention today?” “Pretty much,” Jim sighed. “But that was the first time in two months!” she said. “Tell that to her!” Jim said. “Well, since you’re not studying, dry the dishes,” Keira said while shoving the boy a towel and wet plate. Jim was about to protest but he knew he didn’t have anything else to do. He jumped off the counter and began drying. “Dishes!” Morph declared loudly while flying around both their heads. Meanwhile, Amelia and Delbert were riding back to his house where they were both staying. The crisp night air would usually excitement the feline part in Amelia, but that night she sat there next to her fiancé with coldness to her. Delbert kept stealing concerned glanced to her but refrained from speaking. “I can’t believe one boy in this whole galaxy manages to make me so angry,” Amelia seethed mostly to herself than to Delbert. “I shouldn’t even let him go to that Academy from the way he spoke to me back there.” “I’ve been friends with him and Sarah for years now,” Delbert butted in. “They really do mean well. Jim is just…” He fought for the right words but they wouldn’t come. “…a juvenile delinquent,” Amelia finished for him in her own version. “No,” Delbert said after some thought. “Those weren’t my exact words. He does observe things. He has observed his school and has decided he dislikes it but has to go to it. That is why, I think, he takes some days off. He needs a break from it.” “He likes to take breaks from his duties as well,” Amelia muttered to herself. “What was that?” Delbert asked her. “I wasn’t listening.” “Nothing, dear,” Amelia said as politely as she could. “This whole thing will be forgotten by tomorrow morning.” Delbert smiled on the outside, but he had heard what she had said and worried. The captain and cabin boy still had some issues to work out. This wasn’t just about some Sunday detention. It went deeper than that.

I was looking at pictures of early drawings for Amelia and found out that one of them looked like my Keira character. Weird, no? “I’m home, mom!” Keira called into her house loudly. She shoved the door closed with a tired sigh. “Mom!” she called again while hanging up her apron on a hook by the door. She breathed in deeply the misty air lazily swirling around her. She had gotten used to the dryness of her new planet over the years, but any form of water was still something she couldn’t live without. “She must be in the lake,” Keira muttered to herself. Their wooden home was at the bottom on a cavern where a lake was located. Keira didn’t like the dirty water of the lake and only slept in it at night because it would let her get through the day. Without the water in her system she could suffocate. Keira walked into another room that was completely different from the first. The room bobbed on top of the smooth water. The wooden floors were wet and slimy, but the feel was welcoming to Keira’s webbed feet. She walked over to the box shaped opening in the floor and dived in. “Keira, darling, you’re home!” Keira’s mother thought happily to her daughter. In the water, Keira’s type of alien could mentally talk to each other. “I just need to get to sleep,” Keira thought back with a yawn. “I have midterms tomorrow, which most of the class is going to fail. Poor Jim.” “Oh, is this your boy friend?” Keira’s curious mom asked with a sly smile. Her mom had a light green skin color, not as aqua as her daughter’s. Her tentacle hair was much longer and came down to her ankles. “Jim is just a kid from school, mom,” Keira thought. Her mom was very over dramatic about things. “We were talking about the midterms while I was washing the dishes this evening. His friend who had given him a scholarship to the Interstellar Academy says he can’t go if he fails his midterms. The poor guy is working himself up into a panic over the matter.” Keira settled down into the soft silt at the bottom on the lake. She weaved some squishy water plants into a pillow for herself and closed her eyes. The lake that night was at a perfect temperature. “Seems like Jim and his friend are not seeing the other’s reason,” her mom suddenly thought while rubbing her chin in thought. Keira’s eyes flashed open suddenly. In one quick burst, she swam up in front of her mother. A frown was planted on her face as she thought loudly to her mom, “I did NOT say that, mom! The two are just disagreeing with each other. Don’t do anything to them. No mojo crud, you hear me?” Keira’s mother grinned while thinking, “Oh, but I just know they need this experience, honey!” “Don’t ‘honey’ me, mother. You’ve done this with anyone who fights with each other. Give it a rest just this once.” “They’ll thank me,” her mother thought back. “Plus, the spell wears off in 48 hours, even if they change or not. Trust me, darling, I know what I’m doing.” “Yeah, but I wish you didn’t sometimes,” Keira thought quietly. “Jim is going to kill me.” The next update will have Jim waking up in Amelia's body. It is going to to be funny! I have it all planned out in my head.

To answer aug's question about Jim freaked because he is in a woman's body is yes he is freaked. Remember, I have to rate this G. In my old one on FanFiction.Net I did have a few lines like that here and there. It would be funny, but this is all G rated stuff. But please enjoy! The wonderful smell of food awoke Jim from his deep slumber the next morning. He groaned while looking at the clock with blurry eyes. Suddenly he was wide awake. “Shoot!” he half cursed to himself, “I’m going to be late for school!” He then yelled as another thought hit him. “Midterms today! Shoot, shoot, shoot!” He flung himself out of his bed, which seemed softer than normal. He looked around for his clothes he had thrown on the floor the other night. “Morph, this is no time to steal my clothes!” he hissed at his pet blob of mischief. He looked under his bed for him and found nothing. Actually, it was clean under the bed. He hadn’t had that in a long time. “Mom must have cleaned it,” Jim thought to himself. He looked back up and paused in confusion. “Now this is weird. This is definitely not my room.” He rubbed his forehead with a tired sigh and looked around again while muttering, “What did I eat last night?” He got up and looked around with utter confusion. The slight sound of clattering of plates downstairs came to his new cat-like ears. Jim felt his ear actually move to where the sound was coming from and stopped in his tracks. He slowly lifted his hands up and felt the soft fur on his pointy ears. “What the heck is going on?” he asked himself. He suddenly took off into a sprint, in search for a bathroom. He found one and looked into the lit up mirror. He stared at his reflection for a few seconds in pure shock and horror. He then screamed. He was Amelia! Well, he had her body but not her brain. It was all too confusing for the poor teen. He sat down on the floor and held his head in his hands, trying not to hyperventilate. He dared himself to look at his reflection again and screamed again. “Oh! This can’t be happening! I can’t be Amelia. I have midterms today!” Jim said out loud to reassure himself. “Man! I even have her voice!” He got to his feet and kept down another panicked scream as he stared at himself in the mirror. “Calm down!” he yelled at himself. “Breakfast, Amelia!” a voice called from downstairs. It was Delbert. Jim cringed as his ears moved to catch the sound. It was such an odd sensation. “Yelling at yourself isn’t going solve anything,” Jim said with a frustrated sigh. He stood back and took a deep breath. “Okay, I’m Amelia…which is totally weird and scary. But since I’m in Amelia’s cat creepy body…that must mean she is in mine.” He smiled slyly at the thought and muttered sarcastically, “Nice. She must be loving it!” A thought finally came to Jim and his ears perked up suddenly. He cringed again at the odd feeling of having moving ears. He quickly got over it and said out loud, “That means I don’t have to take midterms! If this only lasts for a day, I could deal with it!” “Breakfast, dear!” Delbert yelled again. Jim walked out of the bathroom and took in the smell of breakfast. His new cat senses were like a whole new world to him. He was beginning to wonder how he got through the world without them. Just from one sniff, he knew breakfast would be good. “Okay, to not sound like a loony person, I’ll not tell Doc about this random switch of bodies,” Jim said while walking around Amelia’s room. He stopped and muttered, “But I’m already crazy. Oh jeez, I need help!” He then shook his head and continued his rant. “I’ll just eat breakfast and then go over to the Benbow Inn and talk with Amelia.” He nodded with a smile. “I have a plan!” Jim looked into Amelia’s closet for some clothes and turned up his nose in disgust. “I’m NOT wearing those boots of hers. I’d most likely kill myself with those things.” He finally settled on some loose blue pants, a black shirt, and some flat black boots that looked similar to his back at home. He looked himself in the mirror of the bathroom with a surprised smile. “Without her stupid snooty outfit on, she looks really nice,” he said. “Amelia’s body, your awesome makeover is perfect. Give your new brain praise for a job well done. Great, now I’m talking to my new body. I’ve hit an all time low.” The smell of breakfast snapped the boy out of his thinking. “Food!” he said excitingly while running out of the room and down the stairs of the Doctor’s observatory. He quickly sat down at the table and started to eat hungrily. “I know that we usually eat at the Benbow, but I think we need a break from it,” Delbert was saying as he heard Jim sit down. “Plus, my homemade pancakes are…” he stopped in the middle of his sentence as he saw Amelia digging into their breakfast. Jim stopped as he realized he was still Amelia. He knew for sure that Amelia wouldn’t eat like he was now. He swallowed and wiped the syrup on his chin as Delbert kept staring at him. “I was just really hungry, Doc,” he said. “Are you alright, dear?” Delbert asked him slowly. “Um…sure,” Jim answered. “Well, I gotta go um…darling. I have to meet someone. Bye!” Jim got up and rushed to the door. He stopped and suddenly grabbed a pancake while smiling sheepishly at the Doctor. He then left. “That was…odd,” Delbert said to himself.
