That has to be my favorite song sung it Treasure Planet. At the very end when Jim looks into the clouds and sees Silver's smiling face in there! I swear I can't sing that song without completly breaking up

This song is cool! It's upbeat and literally, without any animation or visual stuff, it carries out the ending so you further understand the father/son relationship between Jim and Silver.

One thing that confuses me though...according to the soundtrack, BBMak sings this song, but in the credits on the film, it says it's performed by Johnny Rzeznik. They sound alike to me. Did they do two separate recordings of the song or what?

I noticed the difference. Johnny sings the song with a little more edge to his voice than how BBMak. The song is great, though. I really like the lyrics.

Okay, so it is in fact Johnny singing in the credits reel?

Yep! I personally like BBMak sounding of the song better, but I still love Johnny and the Goo Goo Dolls. I want their new CD.

Okie-dokie. I'll have to listen to the credits reel again and see if I can pick up the difference. I've listened to BBMak's version so many times that I should be able to detect it by now, hehe.

I don't have the soundtrack. I'm hoping to get it for Chrismas or my Birthday. Only 4 months away XD

I just listened to the credits version on my smooth-running, scratchless DVD--*cheezy grin*--and I do hear the difference. Rzeznik's voice is more gritty than BBMak's.

I think Johnny's just trying to make his voice sound more like it's got an edge to it as if Jim were singing it

I don't think so, that's really just the timbre of his voice. If you listen to him on any of the GGD cds, his voice is the same. I just love it!
