OCC- I thought I should start another RP cause I'm sick of just having one going. Okay in this one, the tone is darker, this takes place 15 years after the voyage to Treasure Planet. That means, Jim and August are now about 30. Like I said, the tone is darker, Silver is going to get hanged at the gallows, and August (Auggie/Me) Is trying to stop it, but she needs help. (oh and August always remains a child at heart, just remember she's 30 now) BIC- It was raining. Most of the crew of the Jonas was bellow deck. But not Auggie. She was getting soaked, but she didn't care. The young women looked out into the Etherium. Silver would face the gallows in a matter of days....and it was all her falut. Auggie ran her fingers through her wet dirty blonde hair, that she no longer tied up in a ratty ponytail. Her hair was now longer, and it ran down to her bottom. She had grown over the years, she was probally as tall as Captain Amelia now, and she now wore a better jacket then her old tattered one, a black tangtop, and jeans. Along with her old cutlass, belt and bandanna. She wanted to stop this from happening, anything, what she wouldn't give to have Silver at her side right now. If she had enough money, she would pay bail, but she didn't know where to get such money. And she certainly didn't want to steal it. She held Silver's hat in her left hand. She brought it closer to her and pressed it agaist her heart. "Silver...." She whispered into the rainy night. She looked at her feet, and for a few seconds it looked like she was going to cry. But then she shot her head up and her hazel blue eyes sparkled with new ditermination. She spoke to the rainy night. "I promised I would keep the Pirates Code until death." She said to the Etherium. "But if my life has tought me anything, in desperate times, the code is more what you call guidelines anyway." She placed Silver's hat apon her own head and stared into the rainy night. Thunder sounded. She shivvered, but she didn't show fear. She was tired of running, she was tired of being scared, and tired of crying. She was going to do something about it. "I'm coming for you John Silver." Auggie shouted to the rainy Etherium. "Weather you like it or not!" But she knew she couldn't do it on her own.... She burst open the door of the sleeping quarters and woke a very confused crew. "UP NOW YA LAZY GITS! MOVEMENT! I WANT MOVEMENT!" Silver's new crew asked were they were headed. Auggie gave them a very smart smile. "Montressor. I'm going to pay my old dear friend James Hawkins a visit." The crew were reluctant, but they aggreed in the end. Auggie stared out into the rainy night, hoping that Jim still lived at the Benbow, and weather he could help.

The storm was too violent. Auggie let her men hoist The Jonas into the Cresentia spaceport. As soon as the Jonas was desently moored, Auggie raced to below deck and lanuched a skiff. No one noticed. She vasihed into the rainy night. She knew it was stupid sailing out in bad weather, but she couldn't help it. All she cared about was Silver. Nothing else. Rain trashed the small skiff on her way to Montressor. Why did this sort of thing always happen to her, her parents died, she saw it, her bestfriend/boyfriend betrayed her, and now, Silver was going to get hung in a matter of days. Thunder sounded. Lightning clashed. Rain dripped down the brim of her hat. Her eyes burned as she thought about Silver's fate, but she didn't cry, she had too many emotions at once for that. Fear. Determination. Anger. Hope. Guilt. Sadness. She didn't want to feel. She didn't want to live. Her whole life was dedicated to Silver, would this mean her life meaningless? Thunder sounded. Auggie shook her fealings off. No. She would save him. With the help of Jim. Then another thought crossed her mind, what if Jim didn't live at the Benbow anymore? What if he didn't reconize her? What if she woke up the guests in the Inn? A lightning bolt flashed by her eyes, and for a breif milisecond, in the flash of lighting, in her mind she pictured a rope around Silver's neck, her parent's death, and Sparrow flying away in a skiff, all at once. She blinked as she regained her surroundings. She breathed heavily, panicked for a breif moment, then she sighed, and continued driving the skiff to Montressor. "Hadn't had one of those in a while...." She said to herself as she continued steering through the storm.

Though it's been 15 years, the Benbow still stands and a familiar robot still tends things there. He hasn't changed much in 15 years. B.E.N. is still the overly friendly, loud, obnoxious, clattering piece of junk he had been when Jim found him on Treasure Planet. Okay, maybe he's not quite the same. He's undergone some upgrades and tune-ups and his wiring is not nearly as faulty as it had been before. His gears don't squeak as much either as Sarah has made sure to keep him in fine working condition.
As the storm rages outside, B.E.N. looks nervous. Something is going to happen. He can feel it in his wiring...or is that just the electricity in the air? He's not really sure, but he has an apprehensive feeling tonight and he's much quieter than usual. As thunder rolls over and over again outside, he peeks out the window. The rain is falling in sheets, making visibility nearly zero. He can feel the rust creeping into his circuitry just looking at it. This is definitely not a night to be out sailing the Etherium, that's for sure.

It was late at night in the Benbow. Some customers were still hanging around, mostly because they were drunk and didn't want to walk back home in the driving rain. Jim was up keeping the old drunks there with his many stories of being a captain and the dangers he faced out in the Etherium. They seemed pretty satisfied to hear his fresh and young way of wording things. The boy had always been a pretty good story teller.
Jim was taking a small break from being captain. He spent his vacation time helping his mom at her Inn. He just loved the smell and feel of home after being away from it for months on a ship. Don't get him wrong, he adored the feel of the solar waves when he was deep in the Etherium and he enjoyed the company of every one of his shipmates, but being at home was sometimes all his heart wanted.
He didn't know his stay was going to end up being so short.

As another round of thunder causes the windows of the in to shudder, B.E.N. slinks over to Jim and lightly tug on the sleeve of his uniform to get his attention. Maybe he will feel more at ease if he talks to someone. Talking always makes him feel better.
"Jimmy, I hate to interrupt, but..." the robot offers the drunks a nervous half wave, "Jimmy, I...I've got a funny feeling--and it's not ha-ha funny either. I have this...really...really bad feeling that...something out of the ordinary is going to happen tonight..."
Thunder rattles the building again and B.E.N. lets out a startled yelp and leaps into Jim's arms and clings tightly to his neck, quaking and shivering so much that the bolts in his head start to clatter.

Auggie moored the boat hastilly by the Benbow best she could. "Come on ye stupid.." She muttered agaist the crashing thunder and rain. When she was satisfyed it was tied down good enough, she ran to the Benbow. Thoughts raced through the young women's mind. All were troubling. Her first thought, What if Jim wouldn't be there, what if he didn't reconize her? All of them were troubling and horrifying, but she couldn't stop running through the rain. One thought motivated her to see him. Silver was in danger, she had to save him. Auggie grabbed the door of the Benbow, and not bottering to knock, she opened the door forcefully as lightining sounded behind her. She reconzised imediatly the young man staring back at her, and the bucket of bolts she was holding in his arms. Auggie walked into the Inn, dripping, soaking wet, short of breath. She tried to say something to Jim, but words didn't come. She was too short of breath. "Jim...." she panted. "....I....I came......Silv....he-" Then, without warning, Auggie colapsed on the floor of the Benbow, uncontious, Silver's hat falling off her wet head.

On this stormy night, not only two fates collided again together, but another was soon to follow. An hour before the girl with the pirate hat came bursting into the Inn, another stranger had silently slipped into the building. The person wore a long dark brown cloak with a hood to hide the person's face in shadows. The stranger wore light clothing, making the person silent as she came in.
Jim hadn't noticed the new comer because he had been so fouced on his new story. The stranger had sat at the bar in the Inn and stared into her drink as she listened intently to Jim speak. If the hood wasn't hindering anyone's view from the stranger's lips, you would have seen the person smile nastalgicly(sp?) once or twice as the stranger listened on.
When the girl with the pirate hat came charging in, the stranger spun in her seat with wide eyes. The stranger watched in total shock as the girl passed out and fell to the wooden floor.
Jim got up right away, shoving B.E.N. off him. He ran to the fallen girl's side while whispering, "Auggie?!"
The stranger flew from the bar to help Jim pick the girl up. "Careful with her head," she ordered quietly to the man. Jim looked up when hearing the stranger's voice. Through the dim light of the Inn, Jim made out the black as coal eyes and the aqua skin of his old friend.

"Auggie?!"
Auggie's half contious mind herd her name being called again, but she tried to ignore it. Her eye lids felt impossibly heavy, and she felt a dull pain corse through her body from falling on the wooden floor. She wanted nothing more then to slip back to the gentle warmths of the sleep embrace.
"AUGGIE?!" A loud voice said. Auggie cringed, on hearing such a loud noise she wasn't ready for. Her ears twiched. The voice seemed familar... loud, abnoixous, B.E.N.! It was B.E.N.! But what was B.E.N. doing on the Jonas? Then she remembered she wasn't on the Jonas, but in the Benbow. Auggie's numb brain started to remember what had happened the past few seconds. It came flodding back, Silver....faces.....the....gallows.... Auggie's instinct told her to regain conciousness, but her heavy eye lids wouldn't let her.
"Auggie?" she herd the first voice again, this time a bit more urgently, and reconised it was Jim. She suddenly felt a wet jellish substance going up her face. Auggie's eyes shot open at once and she saw Morph hovering above her, generally worried, but happy to see it's old friend. Morph licked Auggie again. Auggie blinked weakly and shivvered. Then she remembered she was soaking to the bone, for going out in the storm. Auggie's wet fox tail curled around her body in a familar reflex Jim knew too well. Auggie managed a weary smile. "guess I was stupid to see ya in this kinda weather huh?"

Jim smiled in surprise at seeing his old friend again. He and Kiera had taken her to a room and put her on a bed to rest. Kiera and him had stayed with Auggie for maybe two or three hours. Kiera had fallen asleep without saying much to Jim. She said she would tell him what was going on in the morning. Jim knew she was just moody that way and let her go. He was just happy to see both of his old friends again.
Now Morph, B.E.N., and him were hovering over Auggie's body. Jim was blown away.
"Guess I was stupid to see ya in this kinda weather huh?" she asked weakly.
Jim chuckled. "You're crazy, Auggie," he said with a laugh. "What in blue blazes are you doing back here at the Inn? Don't you have a crew to look over?"

"She lives!" B.E.N. shouts triumphantly, though his boldness withers away as another crash of thunder causes him to nearly jump out of his copper casing, but he recovers quickly and focuses his rodent-like attention span on Auggie, "Oh, this is fantastic! What a reunion! First Jimmy, then Kiera, then Auggie--me and my best buddies all back together! Oh, I feel a group hug coming on!"
B.E.N. goes on gushing in emotional shouts. Never mind the fact that Kiera is trying to sleep--as well as several other guests in neighboring rooms at the Benbow. B.E.N.'s excitement has, once again, caused him to through common courtesy--and common sense--right out the window.

Auggie blinked dully. It was slowly coming back to her. Auggie shot up, and noticed she was in a bed. She wondered how much time had passed since she fainted. Jim forced her back down gently. "Silver..." She said breathlessly, she seemed distraut, Auggie tried to say something, but too much emotion was shuting her mouth shut. "He-" she looked slightly at B.E.N. who was rambling. Auggie knew she didn't have much time, and she also knew she couldn't tell Jim anything without calming down first. Jim told her to calm down and Auggie took a deep breath, getting ready for what she had to say. "Benji," Auggie said to B.E.N. as she sat up in bed rubbing her eyelids, "You better put on some tea, this is going to take awhile...."

B.E.N. pauses abruptly in mid-ramble and blinks stupidly at Auggie for a moment, obviously drawing a blank as her request takes a while to hit the right wiring in his excited head.
"Oh, tea! Of course," he chuckles and starts to exit the room to fetch the tea, but he pauses in mid-stride and looks back, "But...can we share a group hug first?"

Auggie smiled at the robot for his unknowning of the situation. He seemed to be a symbol of hope for her. Auggie knew B.E.N. had been abandoned on Treasure Planet for over a thousand years, lost his mind, and yet, he never stopped being trustworthy and loving. Even in drastic times, he always found the best part of a situation. Auggie (still sitting up in bed) streched her arms out wide for B.E.N. to occupy the space. "Sure, I don't see why not?" she said smiling.

~~Amanda storms into the Benbow in a huff, obviously angry about...something. She shouts Jim's name downstairs, searching for him to no avail. Finally, she ventures upstairs and, following the voices down the hall, she finds the group in the room.~~
"Man, I'm glad I found you guys here. Mother and Daddy are on my case again. Sometimes I just can't *stand* them! Augh!"
~~She slouches in a chair nearby, then looks up, noticing Auggie and Kiera...two characters she's seen, but never officially met before. She grins sheepishly and tucks a stray lock of hair behind a delicately pointed feline ear.~~
"Oh...uh...hi. I'm Amanda...Amanda Doppler. I don't think I've ever met either of you before."
~~ooc~~ I hope no one minds me joining this thread. It's just set in the perfect time when Amanda would be a teenager and I couldn't resist, lol.

OOC- Don't mind you joining at all, Amanda!
BIC- Jim almost jumped out of his seat when Amanda suddenly flung herself into the room. The girl was pesky sometimes, but she was sweet and reminded him of himself when he was her age. But at the moment it wasn't the best time.
Kiera only stared at the teen. She was still trying to kick off the last threds of sleep from when she had been rudely awakened by B.E.N. She always was dazed when first awakening.
"Amanda, this is Auggie and Kiera," Jim introduced his old friends to the girl. He smiled wryly at her and asked, "So what did you do this time to get the Dopplers all rustled up?"
